Passports

A valid passport is required for entry into Canada by land, sea or air for citizens of all countries.

Visas

For information about visas and entry requirements for Canada, call Immigration Canada at 1.888.242.2100 (in Canada) or visit their website [https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/entry-requirements-country.html] where you will find a list of visa exempt countries and instructions on how to obtain a visa if you are from a country for which a visa is required. If you are from outside Canada, you can also contact the nearest Canadian Embassy, High Commission, or consulate in your region for information.  Be sure to give yourself enough time to obtain a visa if you need one.

Vaccinations

A valid international certificate of inoculation against cholera and yellow fever is required if passengers come from, or travel through, infected areas. Those travelling from WHO designated areas are required to be vaccinated against cholera. Check this carefully with your airline or travel agent.

Quarantine

Travelers must respect the laws that apply to all destinations. Canada has strict quarantine rules against the importation of animals, plants and their products, which cannot be brought into the country without prior authorization.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for those coming from outside Canada. Travel insurance is purchased in your country of origin. The policy should include loss of airfare/fees/tour monies through cancellation for any reason; failure to utilize tours or pre-booked arrangements due to airline delay, or for other reasons; medical expenses; loss or damage to personal property; additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements be altered in any way.
