The conference is hosted by the International Society for Gerontechnology (ISG). Founded in 1997 under Dutch law in Eindhoven, Netherlands, ISG is a non-profit membership organization that promotes the design of technology and environments for independent living and social participation of older persons in good health, comfort and safety. It holds biennial international conferences, publishes the journal Gerontechnology and enjoys a collaborative relationship with the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG). The North American Chapter of the International Society for Gerontechnology is co-host. Its Secretariat is at the University of Northern British Columbia in Prince George, British Columbia.
